Become a Carrier Ethernet Expert
Since its inception in 2001, MEF has been the driving force and definitive standards body for Carrier Ethernet – the core enabling technology that is powering the global digital transformation of business services and life changing applications we use everyday. In less than 2 decades, Carrier Ethernet has revolutionized service provider networks around the world. MEF’s Carrier Ethernet Standards have defined the next generation of Information Communications Technology, shaping the future of networking with standards-based, interoperable products and services.
In 2011, MEF launched the industry’s first vendor-independent Professional Certification Program for Service Providers and Technology Vendors. The MEF Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional (MEF-CECP) was the first certification which validates that those who earn this prestigious credential have the skills and expertise to be recognized as a leader in the Carrier Ethernet field. Now in its 5th revision, the MEF-CECP exam Blueprint “D” contains all the basics as well as concepts and components from MEF 3.0, and is up to date with the work of the MEF Technical Committee’s new and revised Technical Standards.
Since 2007, The Academy has been focused on helping the industry learn how to design, engineer, sell and support the emerging Carrier Ethernet services defined by MEF. Over the past decade we’ve graduated the overwhelming majority of MEF Carrier Ethernet Certified Professionals (MEF-CECP) and have trained a worldwide workforce with the skills and expertise to support the transition of telecom from TDM to Ethernet.
We’re NOT just some general-purpose technical training center with an endless list of courses delivered by professional classroom facilitators. Far from it! Our instructors have been actively working in the industry and have real-world experience deploying Carrier Ethernet. Experience you won’t get anywhere else! In fact, our faculty members are all active contributors to the MEF’s Technical, Application and Certification committees.
